Archegyral Orienters

Archegyral Orienters are web tools and mobile apps that help you to orient your inner and your outer worlds in any particular situation, by becoming more aware of your self-perceptions and how these are reflected in your conscious and unconscious behaviours, as you work with the tensions along the boundaries between your inner and outer worlds. The range of Archegyral Orienters are simple and straightforward to use and, rather than just churning out prescriptive generalised descriptions of what may or may not be happening, they provide you with information that gives you more insight into your self-perceptions in any situation. As well as providing you with this contextual information, they also invite you to explore a number of questions that can help you to develop your understanding of any tensions that you may be experiencing between your inner and outer worlds.

Archegyral Identifiers

Archegyral Identifiers enable you to identify fundamental patterns in your self-perceptions and unconscious connections. The Archegyral Identifier identifies the perceptual arcs formed by these unconscious behavioural patterns by inviting you to choose 12 words from a randomised list of 100 words that could be used to describe your current situation. You then rank your 12 chosen words in order of contextual significance. By choosing and ranking these 12 words, you create an archegyre that reflects your current unconscious behaviours and self-perceptions. The Archegyral Identifier also provides you with a written report describing the nature of the self-perceptions as a combination of perceptual arcs and cadences, which are how you give voice, consciously and unconsciously, to what emerges, exists and evolves for you in your unconscious behaviours. You can explore these further by working with the questions provided in the report.

Archegyral Illuminators

Archegyral Illuminators also enable you to identify fundamental patterns in your self-perceptions and unconscious behaviours, by using any piece of descriptive text. The Archegyral Illuminator identifies the perceptual arcs formed by these unconscious behavioural patterns by inviting you to highlight up to 12 words in a piece of text that describes your current situation. This text can be from an email, from company literature, from a conversation, or any piece of text that has significance for you. You can also choose words that you have used to tag and describe media artefacts, such as video and audio clips. After choosing your words, you are then invited to rank them in order of contextual significance. By choosing and ranking these words, you create an archegyre that reflects your current unconscious behaviours and self-perceptions. The Archegyral Illuminator also provides you with a written report describing the nature of the self-perceptions as a combination of perceptual arcs and cadences, which are how you give voice, consciously and unconsciously, to what emerges, exists and evolves for you in your unconscious behaviours. You can explore these further by working with the questions provided in the report.

Archegyral Connectors

Archegyral Connectors enable you to connect a number of self-perceptions that you have identified by using Archegyral Identifiers or illuminated by working with Archegyral Illuminators. As well as connecting your own self-perceptions, Archegyral Connectors enable you to connect to the self-perceptions of other people in a group that you are working in. There are two types of Archegyral Connectors, which are Group Connectors and Cadence Connectors, each providing you with with an archegyre that illustrates the overall self-perceptions of a group that you are participating in. The Group Connector enables you to add and remove individual members from the group, so you can see how that changes the overall group dynamics and the Cadence Connector illustrates the cadences that individuals are using to engage with the tensions along the boundaries between their inner and outer worlds. By understanding how individuals are giving voice to the self-perceptions within a group, you can connect with them more powerfully and have a clear understanding of their individual perspectives on the situation that you are engaged in.

Archegyral Reflectors

Archegyral Reflectors enable you to identify the specific nature of the tensions that you are experiencing along the boundaries between your inner and outer worlds, and also the tensions that you may be experiencing between your inner world and the inner worlds of other people in a particular situation. By understanding the specific nature of the tensions that you are encountering, you can ask questions and create conversations that enable you to resolve these tensions in a healthy and positive manner. You also give yourself a greater awareness of how these tensions can emerge, exist and evolve so that you can use them to work through challenging situations to create valuable outcomes, rather than just feeling as if events are happening to you and your colleagues.

Archegyral Echoes

Archegyral Echoes are an online tool that enable you to directly engage with significant individual perceptions within large groups of people. An Archegyral Echo enables individuals to illuminate significant meaning in stories and conversations by using the Archegyral Illumination process. The self-signified stories and conversations are then collected and illustrated in a way that enables you to see the types of stories and conversations that are being shared and told in your organisation. You can read each story or conversation that has been shared by selecting that data point from the Archegyral Echo display. Archegyral Echoes allow you to see the bigger picture of the stories and conversations that your organisation consists of, and also to connect and engage with the stories and conversations that figure most prominently. Rather than having to try to understand mediated reports or third-hand stories, you can directly connect with the significant stories that are emerging, existing and evolving in your organisation.

Orienting Inside And Outside

By using Archegyral Orienters to orient yourself in any particular situation, you can become far more aware of how you perceive any tensions that you may be experiencing between your inner and outer worlds. As you orient yourself in your inner and outer worlds by using Archegyral Orienters, as you also become more aware of how your self-perceptions shape your behaviours in any particular situation, consciously or unconsciously. Rather than prescriptively instructing you what to do and advocating particular actions, Archegyral Orienters enable you to name any tensions that you are experiencing between your inner world and outer world, so that you can then own, choose and use those tensions to ensure a healthy positive outcome. The purpose of Archegyral Orienters is not to make you behave in a particular idealised manner but to understand more about the connections that you make between your inner and outer worlds, and the connections that you make with the inner and outer worlds of other people. The natural outcome of orienting yourself is to take action, and if you are unsure of where to start just start, if you can’t decide how to start, then just start, and as you feed forward your action you will naturally feedback from the outcome, naturally orienting yourself.
